February 4, 2019

Myanmar’s National Summary Data Page (NSDP) will go live to implement the Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS) by the Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relation, the Central Bank of Myanmar and International Monetary Fund.  NSDP hosted by the Central Statistical Organization of the MoPF— that features data dissemination as a national “data hub” in Myanmar.

The NSDP aims to serve as a one-stop publication vehicle for key macroeconomic and financial data. The new NSDP will provide national policy makers and a broad range of national and international stakeholders, including investors and rating agencies, with easy access to information that the IMF’s Executive Board has identified as critical for monitoring economic conditions and policies in a country.

A link to Myanmar’s NSDP will be available on the CSO Website and MoPF Website such as www.mopf.gov.mm, www.csostat.gov.mm and www.mmsis.gov.mm, and IMF’s Dissemination Standards Bulletin Board (DSBB) by March 31, 2019 at https://dsbb.imf.org/.

Background

The e‐GDDS was endorsed by the IMF’s Executive Board in May 2015 to support improved data transparency, encourage statistical development, and help create synergies between data dissemination and surveillance. The e‐GDDS is an advance beyond the GDDS, which was established in 1997.
